Glen R.Johnson- Glen Johnson is a 35 yr. old freelance photographer, artist and teacher
living in Eugene, Oregon. He spent his early years in rural areas of south
Texas where he was given plenty of freedom to wander and explore the local
woodlands. This early exposure to the natural world eventually led to a
series of summer camps where he taught ecology, and then to a degree in
Secondary Science Education from Oregon State in 1987. He currently substitute
teaches in public schools and works for the City of Eugene - Outdoor Program,
teaching classes in Backpacking, Wilderness Navigation, and Rock Climbing,
as well as leading Rafting, Hiking and Rock climbing trips.
- His interest in photography began in his late teens when he was given
the OK to use his fathers old Nikkormat camera. He got some basic instruction
from an introductory class but for the most part he prefers to read and
research new photo techniques on his own.
- His current Nudes in Nature photography has evolved out of 15 years
of landscape photography experience during which time he rarely included
a person, or man-made artifact of any kind in his photos. Through his commercial
photography, he eventually began working with people in his photographs
and is now attempting to intertwine man - or in this case… woman, as a
natural part of his landscapes.
